A movie without a plot that nevertheless never lags or bores. Judy Garland looking as lovely as any woman can. "The Boy Next Door", "The Trolley Song" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" in the score. Judy and Margaret O'Brien cake-walking to "Under the Bamboo Tree". There's not much more I can say - MEET IN IN ST. LOUIS is simply one of the most charming American musicals ever made. From MGM, natch. - JB
