PSYCHO

     There's not much I can say about a film that has become so ingrained in our culture that a simple repetitive musical sting (reet-reet-reet-reet!) is an immediately identifiable reference.  PSYCHO redefined the horror genre, it pushed the limits of sex and violence, it portended the themes of the coming decade.  It was also a film that examined our collective dark side as none had before.  And then there was this shower scene.  Still retains its power to shock and disturb after all these years.  Hitchcock's most unique and audacious masterpiece.   - JL
