Created by writer Ian Fleming in his novel Casino Royale, British super spy James Bond became one of moviedom's most popular characters with the release of the highly successful film Dr. No, starring the unforgettable Sean Connery as Agent 007. The film spawned a franchise that appears to be unstoppable. Five other actors have played Bond over four decades of the series: George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
